Diclofenac

A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) that reduces pain and inflammation.

Linseed Oil

A natural oil rich in omega-3 fatty acids, possessing emollient and potentially anti-inflammatory properties.

Menthol

A naturally occurring compound with cooling and counterirritant effects, providing temporary pain relief.

Methyl Salicylate

A synthetic derivative of salicylic acid, possessing analgesic (pain-relieving) and anti-inflammatory properties.

This topical formulation combines the analgesic and anti-inflammatory actions of diclofenac and methyl salicylate with the emollient properties of linseed oil and the counterirritant effect of menthol. Diclofenac inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, reducing inflammation and pain. Methyl salicylate also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis. Menthol creates a cooling sensation, masking pain, while linseed oil helps to hydrate and soften the skin, facilitating better absorption of the other ingredients.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or tampered with.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 3-4 times daily.

Gently massage into the skin until absorbed.

Wash hands thoroughly after application.

Do not apply to broken or irritated skin.

Alcohol Consumption

No specific contraindications with alcohol consumption, but excessive alcohol use may worsen liver function, which is a relevant consideration if using this medication.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your physician before use. Topical NSAIDs are generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.



Children

Kidney

Caution advised in patients with pre-existing kidney disease. Monitor for any signs of kidney impairment.
