Kivipride 100mg Tab (Amisulpride) is an atypical antipsychotic that primarily acts as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist in the mesolimbic pathway, reducing positive symptoms of psychosis. It also possesses some serotonin 5-HT2A receptor antagonism, potentially contributing to its efficacy in treating negative symptoms and improving mood.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of unused medication responsibly.

Dosage typically starts low and is gradually increased.

Amisulpride is usually administered orally, once or twice daily with or without food.

Extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) such as akathisia, Parkinsonism, dystonia, and tardive dyskinesia.

Hyperprolactinemia (increased prolactin levels) leading to galactorrhea, amenorrhea, gynecomastia.

Sedation or drowsiness.

Weight gain.

Orthostatic hypotension.

Nausea, vomiting, constipation.

Dizziness.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol should be avoided or consumed in moderation as it can potentiate the sedative effects of amisulpride.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating machinery until the effects of the medication are known, as drowsiness and dizziness can occur.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is generally avoided unless the benefits clearly outweigh the potential risks. Discuss with your doctor.



Children

Not recommended for use in children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatrician and under strict monitoring.



Kidney
