Ketoconazole

An antifungal medication that works by inhibiting the growth of fungi.

Salicylic Acid

A keratolytic agent that helps to soften and shed the outer layer of skin, improving penetration of other ingredients.

Sulphur

An antimicrobial agent that helps to control the growth of bacteria and fungi, reducing inflammation and scaling.

Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff and seborrheic eczema)

Treatment of tinea versicolor (a fungal infection causing discoloration of the skin)

Treatment of pityriasis rosea (a skin rash)

Treatment of other fungal skin infections

This combination medication works synergistically. Ketoconazole targets the fungi causing the infection, while salicylic acid helps exfoliate the skin, allowing better penetration of ketoconazole and sulphur. Sulphur adds to the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects, controlling bacterial overgrowth and reducing inflammation.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Wash and dry the affected area before application.

Continue treatment for the duration prescribed, even if symptoms improve.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before use, as safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established. Topical use generally poses less risk than oral medication.



Children

Use only as directed by a pediatrician. May require different dosage or formulation.



Kidney

Generally safe for those with normal kidney function. Consult a doctor if you have kidney disease.



Liver

Ketoconazole can affect liver function; inform your doctor about any liver conditions before use. Monitor for any signs of liver problems.
