Ketoconazole targets fungal infections by disrupting fungal cell membrane synthesis. Coal tar's mechanism is multifactorial, involving anti-inflammatory and keratolytic actions that help to reduce inflammation and scaling in the skin.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused portion after the expiration date.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area(s) as directed, usually once or twice daily.
Ensure the skin is clean and dry before application.
Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and broken skin.

Generally well tolerated by individuals with normal kidney function. Patients with kidney impairment should be monitored.
