This drug formulation works by combining the actions of its three ingredients: Benzoic acid and salicylic acid help to reduce inflammation and remove dead skin cells, while hydrocortisone further reduces inflammation and suppresses the immune response in the skin.
Store the medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the medication if it has expired.
Apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area twice daily, or as directed by your doctor.
Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medication, unless it is specifically intended for hand treatment.
Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. If contact occurs, flush the area with water immediately.
Do not use the medication on large areas of skin without consulting your doctor.
