Montelukast

A leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the effects of leukotrienes, substances that trigger inflammation and narrowing of the airways.

Treatment of asthma, both in adults and children.

Prevention of exerciseinduced bronchospasm in adults and children with asthma.

Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergies (hay fever) in adults and children.

Acebrofon M Tab (Acebrophylline + Montelukast) work together to improve breathing by relaxing the muscles in the airways and reducing inflammation. Acebrophylline opens up the airways by relaxing the muscles, while Montelukast blocks the action of leukotrienes, which are substances that cause inflammation and airway narrowing.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the medication out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of Acebrophylline + Montelukast will be determined by your doctor based on your age, weight, and medical condition.

The medication is typically taken orally once a day, usually in the evening.

It is important to take the medication as directed by your doctor and not to stop taking it without consulting with them.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed dose.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is important to discuss the risks and benefits of taking Acebrophylline + Montelukast with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The medication may pass into breast milk and could potentially affect the nursing infant.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 2 years.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney disease.
