Aspirin

A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid) and antiplatelet agent.

Secondary prevention of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in patients with a history of these events.

Treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).

Reduction of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in patients with established atherosclerotic vascular disease.

Aspirin inhibits platelet aggregation by irreversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1). Rosuvastatin reduces LDL cholesterol levels by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase. Clopidogrel inhibits platelet aggregation by irreversibly blocking the P2Y12 ADP receptor. The combined effect is to reduce the risk of blood clot formation and cardiovascular events.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual patient needs and risk factors.

Do not start, stop, or change your dose without consulting your physician.

Bleeding (gastrointestinal bleeding, bruising, nosebleeds)

Headache

Dizziness

Muscle aches (myalgia)

Elevated liver enzymes

Gastrointestinal upset (nausea, heartburn)

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Moderate or avoid alcohol while on this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your physician.



Children

Not typically indicated for use in children.



Kidney

May need dose adjustment in patients with kidney impairment.



Liver

May need dose adjustment in patients with liver impairment. Liver function tests should be monitored.
