Cefpodoxime Proxetil

A third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that fights bacteria.

Clavulanic Acid

A beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from breaking down cefpodoxime proxetil.

Treatment of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (e.g., sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia).

Treatment of skin and skin structure infections.

Treatment of urinary tract infections.

Treatment of otitis media (middle ear infection).

Cefpodoxime Proxetil inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamases, enzymes produced by some bacteria that can break down Cefpodoxime Proxetil, thereby enhancing its effectiveness against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C). Protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Take the medication as directed, with or without food.

Complete the entire course of antibiotics, even if symptoms improve. Stopping early can lead to recurrence of infection.
