Atorvastatin

A statin medication that lowers cholesterol levels in the blood by inhibiting the enzyme hmg-coa reductase, which is involved in cholesterol production.

Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in individuals with high cholesterol levels and other risk factors, such as diabetes, hypertension, or family history of heart disease.

Secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease in individuals who have already experienced a heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular events.

To reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular events in patients with stable coronary artery disease.

Atorvastatin lowers cholesterol levels by blocking the production of cholesterol in the liver, while aspirin reduces the risk of blood clots by inhibiting platelet aggregation. The combination of atorvastatin and aspirin works synergistically to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by lowering cholesterol and improving blood flow.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of atorvastatin and aspirin will vary depending on your individual needs and medical history. It is essential to follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

The typical starting dose is 10 mg of atorvastatin once daily, and 81 mg of aspirin once daily.

Your doctor may adjust your dosage as needed.

Take this medication with a full glass of water, at the same time each day.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.
