Itraconazole

An antifungal medication that belongs to the triazole class.

Terbinafine

An antifungal medication that belongs to the allylamine class.

Treatment of onychomycosis (fungal infection of the nails) caused by dermatophytes.

Treatment of tinea corporis (ringworm) and tinea cruris (jock itch) caused by dermatophytes.

Treatment of pityriasis versicolor (a fungal infection that causes patches of discolored skin).

Itraconazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes, leading to fungal cell death. Terbinafine inhibits the enzyme squalene epoxidase, which is essential for the biosynthesis of ergosterol, ultimately leading to fungal cell death.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

The dosage and duration of treatment will vary depending on the infection being treated and the patient's individual needs. Consult with your healthcare provider for specific dosage instructions.

It is typically taken orally once a day, with or without food.

The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablets.

Children

Caution is advised in patients with kidney disease.
