Isordil 10mg Tab (Isosorbide Dinitrate) is a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes blood vessels. This reduces the workload on the heart by decreasing blood pressure and improving blood flow, thereby relieving chest pain and improving symptoms of heart failure.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and light. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any medication that is outdated or shows signs of deterioration (e.g., discoloration, unusual odor).

Dosage and frequency will vary greatly depending on the individual patient, medical condition, and specific formulation (e.g., tablets, capsules, sublingual tablets). Always follow your doctor’s prescribed dosage and instructions precisely.

Never abruptly stop taking isosorbide dinitrate without consulting your doctor as this could lead to rebound angina.

For sublingual tablets: Place the tablet under your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely.

For oral tablets/capsules: Swallow with a glass of water.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

Isosorbide dinitrate can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking isosorbide dinitrate if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant. The medication may pass into breast milk and its safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not fully established.



Children

Generally not recommended for use in children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatrician.



Kidney
