Isopil 30mg Tab (Isotretinoin) reduces sebum (oil) production by the skin glands, decreases inflammation, and alters the properties of the skin to help prevent acne breakouts. It works by interacting with retinoid receptors in the skin cells.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication as instructed by your physician or pharmacist.
Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your weight, condition severity, and response to treatment.
Usually taken once or twice daily with food.
The treatment course typically lasts several months.

Alcohol consumption should be minimized or avoided entirely during treatment, as it can exacerbate side effects.
Isotretinoin can cause fatigue and vision problems in some patients. Avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
Isotretinoin is highly teratogenic (causes birth defects). Women of childbearing age MUST use two forms of reliable contraception before, during, and for one month after treatment. Breastfeeding is generally not recommended during treatment.
Use in children is generally restricted to those with severe acne unresponsive to other treatments, under strict medical supervision.
Caution is advised for patients with kidney problems. Your doctor may adjust your dosage.
Liver function tests are usually monitored regularly during treatment, as isotretinoin can affect liver enzymes.
