Isopex 20mg Cap Tab (Isotretinoin) reduces sebum (oil) production in the skin, decreases the size of sebaceous glands, and has anti-inflammatory effects. This helps to prevent the formation of acne lesions.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage is determined by a physician and varies depending on the severity of acne and patient response.
It is typically taken once or twice daily with food.
Treatment courses usually last several months.

Alcohol consumption should be limited or avoided during isotretinoin treatment due to potential liver effects.

Isotretinoin is highly teratogenic (causes birth defects). It is absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding women. Reliable contraception is mandatory.

Patients with impaired kidney function may require dose adjustment. This is determined by the treating physician.
