Pilocarpine

Is a cholinergic agonist that works by stimulating the receptors in the eye responsible for constricting the pupil and draining fluid from the eye.

Timolol Maleate

Is a beta-blocker that works by blocking the effects of adrenaline in the eye, which helps reduce the production of fluid in the eye.

Treatment of openangle glaucoma

Treatment of ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye)

Treatment of other eye conditions as directed by your doctor.

Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5ml (Pilocarpine + Timolol Maleate) work together to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in the eye. Pilocarpine constricts the pupil and improves drainage of fluid from the eye, while Timolol Maleate reduces the production of fluid within the eye.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Do not freeze the medication. Keep the medication out of reach of children and pets.

Apply one drop in the affected eye(s) as directed by your doctor, usually one to two times per day.

Do not touch the tip of the dropper to your eye or any other surface to avoid contamination.

After applying the drops, gently close your eye for a few minutes to allow the medication to absorb.

Dry eyes

Eye pain

Eye discharge

Allergic reactions, including skin rash, itching, and swelling.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid consuming alcohol while using this medication, as it can enhance the side effects of the medication.



Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication may cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision has cleared.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Talk to your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The medication may pass into breast milk and could harm a nursing infant.



Children

This medication is not recommended for use in children unless directed by a doctor.



Kidney

Liver

No specific adjustments are typically needed for patients with liver disease. However, your doctor may monitor you closely for any potential side effects.
