Benidipine

A calcium channel blocker that helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Telmisartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps relax blood vessels and reduces fluid retention, further lowering blood pressure.

Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure)

May be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications

Benidipine blocks calcium channels in the heart and blood vessels, leading to vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) and decreased heart rate. Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels and increases blood pressure. The combined effect of these two medications results in a significant reduction in blood pressure.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response.

Typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet; swallow it whole.

Orthostatic hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing)

Cough (less common with ARBs than ACE inhibitors)

Rare but serious: Angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat)

Headache

Dizziness

Fatigue

Nausea

Edema (swelling)

Muscle cramps

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of dizziness and hypotension. Limit alcohol intake while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking this medication.



Children

Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.



Liver

Use with caution in patients with impaired liver function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
