Etanercept

Etanercept is a biologic drug that contains a soluble protein called a tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor.It is produced by recombinant DNA technology in a cell line derived from Chinese hamster ovary cells.

Intacept 50mg Pfs Inj 1ml (Etanercept) works by blocking the action of a protein called tumor necrosis factor (TNF), which is involved in inflammation and immune responses. When TNF is blocked, it helps reduce inflammation and improve symptoms in various inflammatory conditions.

Store Etanercept in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C (36°F and 46°F). Do not freeze. Keep the vial in its original carton to protect it from light. Discard any unused portion of the vial after its expiration date.

The dosage of Etanercept will depend on the specific condition being treated and your individual needs.

Etanercept is usually administered by subcutaneous injection once or twice a week.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Etanercept should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your healthcare provider. It is not known if Etanercept passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare provider.



Children

Etanercept is used to treat certain conditions in children. It is important to follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully.



Kidney

Etanercept is primarily eliminated from the body by the kidneys. Kidney problems may affect the way your body processes Etanercept. Consult your healthcare provider.
