Ibandronic acid is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs known as bisphosphonates.
Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women to reduce the risk of fractures.
Treatment of Paget's disease of bone.
Treatment of bone metastases in patients with solid tumors.
Prevention of osteoporosis in men at high risk for fractures.
Idrofos 150mg Kit Tab (Ibandronic Acid) works by slowing down the breakdown of bone, which helps to increase bone density and strength. It does this by inhibiting the activity of osteoclasts, the cells that break down bone.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
The dosage and frequency of administration of ibandronic acid will vary depending on the specific condition being treated.
It is typically taken once a month, either by mouth or intravenously.
Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Do not take more or less than the prescribed dose.
Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
Stay upright for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet.
