Lisinopril

Lisinopril is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.

Hypernil 10mg Tab (Lisinopril) works by blocking the action of an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). ACE is involved in the body's natural process of regulating blood pressure. By blocking ACE, lisinopril prevents the formation of angiotensin II, a powerful vasoconstrictor (a substance that narrows blood vessels). This results in lower blood pressure, reduced strain on the heart, and improved blood flow to the kidneys.

Store lisinopril at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in its original container, tightly closed. Do not use it after the expiration date printed on the label.

The dosage of lisinopril will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs.

It is usually taken once a day, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets. Swallow them whole.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

Lisinopril can cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Lisinopril can harm an unborn baby. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is also not recommended for use during breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using lisinopril if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.



Children

Lisinopril is not typically used in children. However, there are some situations where it may be prescribed to children.



Kidney

People with kidney problems may need to adjust their dosage of lisinopril.



Liver

Lisinopril is generally safe for people with liver problems.
