Hydrazide 25mg Tab (Hydrochlorothiazide) works by blocking the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the kidneys, resulting in increased excretion of water and salt in the urine. This lowers blood pressure by reducing the volume of fluid in the bloodstream.

Store hydrochlorothiazide at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children.

The dosage of hydrochlorothiazide varies depending on the condition being treated and the individual patient's needs.

It is typically taken once daily, but your doctor may prescribe a different dosage or frequency.

Take hydrochlorothiazide exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not stop taking hydrochlorothiazide without talking to your doctor.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Electrolyte imbalances (such as low potassium, magnesium, or calcium)

Uric acid build-up, which can lead to gout

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects from hydrochlorothiazide, such as low blood pressure and dehydration.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Hydrochlorothiazide can cause dizziness and lightheadedness, which may impair your ability to drive or operate machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Hydrochlorothiazide is generally not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. It can pass into breast milk and may affect the nursing infant.



Children

Hydrochlorothiazide is not typically prescribed for children unless other treatment options are not suitable.



Kidney

Hydrochlorothiazide can worsen kidney problems. It is not usually prescribed for people with severe kidney disease.



Liver

Hydrochlorothiazide should be used with caution in people with liver disease.
