Infections caused by certain bacteria, such as those in the stomach, intestines, or vagina

Ulcers in the stomach or intestines, especially those caused by Helicobacter pylori infection

Prevention of infections after surgery or injury in areas that have been treated with povidone iodine

Alcohol Consumption

It is extremely important to avoid alcohol consumption while taking metronidazole. Combining alcohol with metronidazole can cause severe and dangerous side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness, drowsiness, and confusion. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Metronidazole can harm an unborn baby. It should not be taken during pregnancy unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Sucralfate and Povidone Iodine are generally considered safe for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 12 unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.



Kidney
