Halobetasol propionate reduces inflammation and itching by suppressing the immune system's response in the skin. Salicylic acid helps to remove scales and dead skin cells, allowing the medication to penetrate more effectively.
Store the medication at room temperature, away from heat and light. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area once or twice daily.
Do not cover the treated area with a bandage unless directed by your doctor.
Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medication, unless the hands are the area being treated.
Do not use on large areas of skin or for longer periods than directed by your doctor.
