Fenofibrate

Fenofibrate is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called fibrates.

Fenofibrate is used to lower high cholesterol levels in adults with high cholesterol and other risk factors for heart disease, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of heart disease.

It is also used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in people with high cholesterol.

Grubid 200mg Cap (Fenofibrate) works by lowering the levels of triglycerides (a type of fat) and cholesterol in the blood. It does this by increasing the activity of an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase, which breaks down triglycerides.
