Linagliptin

A dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (dpp-4) inhibitor.

Treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control when metformin alone is insufficient.

May be used in combination with other diabetes medications like metformin or insulin.

Dapagliflozin works by preventing the kidneys from reabsorbing glucose, increasing its excretion in the urine. Linagliptin enhances the release of insulin from the pancreas in response to rising blood glucose levels and reduces the production of glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar.

Store at room temperature, protect from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of children.

Typically taken once daily, with or without food.
