Store the medication at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in its original container, tightly closed. Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink. Dispose of any unused medication properly.

Typically, acarbose and metformin are taken three times a day, with meals. The dosage may be adjusted over time to achieve optimal blood sugar control.
Swallow the tablets whole with a full glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablets.
