Nateglinide is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

It helps control blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas.

Glinate 60mg Tab (Nateglinide) is a meglitinide analog. It works by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas in a glucose-dependent manner. This means that insulin is released only when blood sugar levels are high.

Store Nateglinide at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in its original container. Do not store it in the bathroom.

The dosage of Nateglinide will vary depending on your individual needs and response to the medication.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

Take Nateglinide exactly as directed by your doctor.

Do not take more or less of it than prescribed.

Take Nateglinide with a meal or within 30 minutes of starting a meal.

Do not take Nateglinide if you have not eaten.

Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water.

Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets.

Common side effects of Nateglinide include:

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can lower blood sugar levels, so avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking Nateglinide. Talk to your doctor about how much alcohol is safe for you to consume.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Nateglinide may cause low blood sugar, which can affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Be cautious if you are driving or operating machinery while taking Nateglinide.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Nateglinide is not recommended for pregnant women as it may be harmful to the developing fetus. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using Nateglinide during pregnancy. Nateglinide may pass into breast milk. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using Nateglinide while breastfeeding.



Children

Nateglinide is not recommended for children under 18 years of age.



Kidney

If you have kidney disease, your doctor may need to adjust your dose of Nateglinide.



Liver

If you have liver disease, your doctor may need to adjust your dose of Nateglinide.
