Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea drug that works by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas. Metformin is a biguanide that works by decreasing the production of glucose in the liver and increasing the sensitivity of the body's cells to insulin.

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is individualized based on patient factors and blood sugar control.

Typically taken orally with meals.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

Gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)

Weight gain

Headache

Dizziness

Joint pain

Skin rash

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of low blood sugar. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss with your doctor.



Children

Not recommended for children.



Kidney

Caution is required in patients with kidney disease.



Liver

Caution is required in patients with liver disease.
