A sulfonylurea medication that helps your pancreas produce more insulin.
A biguanide medication that helps your body use insulin more effectively and reduces glucose production by the liver.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: To control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes who are unable to manage their blood sugar with diet and exercise alone.
Glimisave M2 750 Tab (Glimepiride + Metformin) work together to lower blood sugar levels in different ways. Glimepiride stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, while Metformin increases insulin sensitivity in tissues and decreases glucose production by the liver.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose based on your individual needs.
Typically taken orally, once or twice daily, with meals.
Do not crush, break, or chew the tablets.
Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Less common: Weight loss, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), skin rash, itching
Rare: Lactic acidosis (a serious condition), liver problems
Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness
Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking this medication, as it can increase the risk of low blood sugar.
This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits.
This medication is not approved for use in children.
