Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient to control blood sugar levels

Glibamet Tab (Glibenclamide + Metformin) work together to lower blood sugar levels. Glibenclamide is a sulfonylurea drug that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin. Metformin is a biguanide that reduces glucose production by the liver and improves the body's response to insulin.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of glibenclamide and metformin is individualized based on your blood sugar levels and overall health.

It is typically taken orally with meals.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

Do not take more than the prescribed dosage.

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

Gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)

Weight gain

Skin rash

Headache

Dizziness

Fatigue

Vitamin B12 deficiency

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking glibenclamide and metformin as it can increase the risk of hypoglycemia.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Be cautious while driving or operating machinery as hypoglycemia can cause drowsiness and dizziness.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor about alternative treatments.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust the dosage of this medication.



Liver

If you have liver problems, you may not be able to take this medication.
