Gifaxin 550mg Tab (Rifaximin) is a non-absorbable antibiotic that works by killing bacteria in the gut. It selectively targets bacteria in the intestines without being absorbed into the bloodstream, thereby reducing the number of bacteria contributing to the symptoms of the conditions it is used to treat.

Store rifaximin at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it in the original container and out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of rifaximin will vary depending on the condition being treated and the individual patient's needs.

It is typically taken orally, with or without food.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not take more or less than prescribed.

Complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better before you finish the medication.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Do not stop taking rifaximin without talking to your doctor.
