Ranitidine is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called H2 receptor antagonists.It may also contain inactive ingredients that help with the formulation of the medicine.
Treating and preventing heartburn, acid indigestion, and sour stomach.
Relieving symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) such as chest pain, difficulty swallowing, and regurgitation.
Treating ulcers in the stomach or duodenum.
Preventing ulcers caused by stress, medications like aspirin, or certain health conditions.
Gertac Inj 2ml (Ranitidine) works by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical in the body that stimulates the production of stomach acid. By blocking histamine, ranitidine reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach, which helps to relieve symptoms and promote healing.
Store ranitidine at room temperature, away from heat, light, and moisture.
The dosage of ranitidine depends on your age, medical condition, and the form of the medication you are taking.
Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
It is usually taken two or three times a day.
It is best taken 30-60 minutes before a meal and at bedtime.
Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets unless instructed to do so by your doctor.
