Dapagliflozin

A sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (sglt2) inhibitor that helps the kidneys remove excess sugar from the body through urine.

Glimepiride

A sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin.

Metformin

A biguanide that improves insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose production by the liver.

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults inadequately controlled with diet and exercise alone, or in combination with other oral antidiabetic drugs, when metformin alone is not sufficient.

This triple combination medication works through three distinct mechanisms to lower blood glucose levels. Dapagliflozin increases glucose excretion in the urine, glimepiride stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, and metformin enhances insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose production.
