This combination medication works through two distinct mechanisms: Glibenclamide enhances insulin secretion from the pancreas, while metformin improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues and reduces hepatic glucose production. This combined action leads to better blood glucose control.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

Typically, the medication is taken orally with meals to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.

Gastrointestinal issues: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain (more common with metformin).

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia and should be consumed in moderation or avoided.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Hypoglycemia can impair judgment and coordination. Avoid driving or operating machinery if experiencing symptoms of low blood sugar.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.



Children

Not typically used in children. Consult your pediatrician.



Kidney

Metformin is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease due to the risk of lactic acidosis. Kidney function should be monitored regularly.
