Gabapentin

An anticonvulsant medication used to treat seizures and nerve pain.

Lidocaine

A local anesthetic that numbs the area where it is applied.

Treatment of neuropathic pain (nerve pain) in adults.

May be used as an adjunct to other medications for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia (pain after shingles).

Not approved for use in children.

Gabapentin works by reducing the release of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, while lidocaine blocks the signals that cause pain.

Store gabapentin and lidocaine cream at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight.

Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as directed by your doctor.

Typically applied 3-4 times per day.

Do not use more than the recommended dose or apply to broken or irritated skin.

Burning, stinging, or redness at the application site.

Dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue.

Headache, nausea, vomiting.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while using gabapentin and lidocaine cream as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Talk to your doctor about the potential risks and benefits of using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

This medication may be harmful to your kidneys if you have kidney problems.



Liver

This medication may be harmful to your liver if you have liver problems.
