Forzid Inj 2gm (Ceftazidime) works by interfering with the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, ultimately leading to bacterial cell death. It achieves this through binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), preventing the formation of peptidoglycan, a crucial component of bacterial cell walls.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Discard any unused portion after the expiration date.
Dosage and frequency depend on the type and severity of infection, as well as the patient's age, weight, and kidney function.
Administered intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM).
