Fluticasone

Is a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation in the airways.

Formoterol

Is a long-acting bronchodilator that helps open up the airways and makes breathing easier.

Treatment of asthma in adults and children aged 4 years and older.

Longterm maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults.

Formosone 250 Respi Rotacaps (Fluticasone + Formoterol) works by combining two mechanisms of action: Fluticasone reduces inflammation in the airways by suppressing the release of substances that trigger inflammation, while Formoterol relaxes the muscles around the airways, opening them up and making it easier to breathe.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not freeze.

The dosage and frequency of use will vary depending on the individual patient's needs and medical condition. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

This medication is typically inhaled using a spacer device. Inhale slowly and deeply, holding your breath for a few seconds after each inhalation.

Common side effects include: sore throat, hoarseness, headache, cough, fungal infection in the mouth (thrush), and nosebleeds.

Serious side effects are rare but can include: increased risk of infection, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, osteoporosis, and cataracts.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of certain side effects. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking Fluticasone + Formoterol.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision in some individuals. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience these side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Fluticasone + Formoterol should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. It is not known if this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication while breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children under 4 years of age.



Kidney

Fluticasone + Formoterol is primarily eliminated through the liver. There is limited information on the use of this medication in patients with kidney disease.
