Folitrax 25 Tab (Methotrexate) is an immunosuppressant and anti-cancer drug. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cells that divide rapidly, such as cancer cells and immune system cells.

Store methotrexate at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of methotrexate will depend on the condition being treated and the patient's individual needs.

It is usually taken by mouth, but can also be injected or administered intravenously.

It is important to take methotrexate exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not stop taking methotrexate without talking to your doctor.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Methotrexate is known to cause birth defects. It should not be used during pregnancy. It is also not recommended for breastfeeding women.



Children

Methotrexate is not recommended for children unless the benefits outweigh the risks.



Kidney

Methotrexate can affect kidney function. If you have kidney problems, talk to your doctor before taking this medication.



Liver

Methotrexate can damage the liver. If you have liver problems, talk to your doctor before taking this medication.
