Fole 100 Tab (Fluconazole) is an antifungal medication that works by interfering with the production of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. By disrupting the cell membrane, fluconazole prevents the fungus from growing and multiplying.

Store fluconazole at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of fluconazole will vary depending on the type of fungal infection being treated and your individual medical history. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and frequency of administration.

Fluconazole is typically taken by mouth as a tablet or capsule, but it can also be administered intravenously (by injection) in some cases.

Common side effects include:

Headache

Nausea

Vomiting

Abdominal pain

Diarrhea

Rash

Itching

Liver problems (in rare cases)

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking fluconazole, as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Fluconazole may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some people. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Fluconazole can harm an unborn baby. It is not recommended for pregnant women. Discuss your pregnancy plans with your doctor before taking fluconazole. Fluconazole can pass into breast milk and may harm a breastfeeding baby. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of breastfeeding while taking this medication.



Children

Fluconazole is not recommended for children under the age of 18 unless prescribed by a doctor.



Kidney

Fluconazole can be harmful to the kidneys. If you have kidney problems, talk to your doctor before taking this medication.



Liver

Fluconazole can cause liver damage, particularly in people with pre-existing liver problems. Your doctor may monitor your liver function while you are taking this medication.
