How Flavedac 20mg Tablet Works

Flavedac 20mg Tablet (Trimetazidine) inhibits the long-chain 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase enzyme, which is involved in fatty acid oxidation in the heart. By reducing fatty acid oxidation, it promotes glucose oxidation as an alternative energy source for the heart, thus improving myocardial energy metabolism and reducing ischemia (lack of blood flow) in the heart muscle.
