Atorvastatin

A statin medication that lowers ldl cholesterol ('bad' cholesterol) and triglycerides.

Fenofibrate

A fibrate medication that lowers triglycerides and raises hdl cholesterol ('good' cholesterol).

High cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) and/or high triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia) when diet and exercise are insufficient.

Mixed dyslipidemia (a combination of elevated LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, and high triglycerides).

Prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with high risk factors (such as diabetes, a history of heart disease, etc.)

Atorvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol production in the liver, thereby reducing LDL cholesterol synthesis. Fenofibrate activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which increases the breakdown of triglycerides and improves HDL cholesterol levels.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage varies depending on individual needs and should be determined by a physician.

It's usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Muscle aches and pains (myalgia or myopathy, rarely rhabdomyolysis – a serious condition requiring immediate medical attention)

Gastrointestinal issues (such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation)

Alcohol Consumption

Excessive alcohol consumption may increase the risk of liver damage. Moderate alcohol intake should be discussed with your physician.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Drowsiness or dizziness are rare but possible side effects. Avoid driving or operating machinery if these occur.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor.



Children

Not typically used in children, except in certain cases under strict medical supervision.



Kidney

May require dosage adjustment in patients with kidney disease. Careful monitoring is necessary.



Liver

May require dosage adjustment in patients with liver disease or elevated liver enzymes. Regular liver function tests are crucial.
