Fenofibrate

Treatment of high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) and high triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia), especially when other treatments have not been effective enough.

May be used in conjunction with diet and exercise to lower the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with high triglycerides and/or low HDL cholesterol.

Fibrofen 160mg Tab (Fenofibrate) is a fibrate drug. It works by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α). This activation leads to increased breakdown of triglycerides and increased excretion of cholesterol from the body. It also increases levels of 'good' HDL cholesterol.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Kidney
