Atorvastatin

A statin medication that lowers ldl ('bad') cholesterol and triglycerides.

Fenofibrate

A fibrate medication that lowers triglycerides and raises hdl ('good') cholesterol.

Mixed dyslipidemia (high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides) that is not adequately controlled with diet and exercise alone.

Patients with very high triglyceride levels (hypertriglyceridemia) who are at risk of pancreatitis.

Atorvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis. Fenofibrate activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α), which regulates lipid metabolism, decreasing triglyceride production and increasing HDL levels.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response to therapy.

Typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not abruptly stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately.



Children

Not recommended for children.



Kidney

Caution required in patients with kidney disease. Dosage adjustment may be necessary.



Liver

Caution required in patients with liver disease. Liver function tests should be monitored regularly.
