Metoclopramide

This is an antiemetic medication that works by increasing the speed at which food moves through the stomach and intestines, helping to relieve nausea and vomiting.

Paracetamol

This is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) that works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain and inflammation.

Relief of nausea and vomiting, especially when caused by conditions like migraines, gastroenteritis, or chemotherapy.

Relief of mild to moderate pain.

Reduction of fever.

0 Metoclopramide: It blocks dopamine receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) in the brain, which is involved in triggering vomiting. It also speeds up gastric emptying by stimulating the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that controls muscle movement.1 Paracetamol: It reduces the production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain and inflammation, by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes in the brain and spinal cord.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester, and may pass into breast milk.



Children

Use in children should be under the guidance of a doctor, as dosage may need to be adjusted.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney disease, as metoclopramide may accumulate in the body.



Liver

Caution is advised in patients with liver disease, as paracetamol may be metabolized differently and increase the risk of liver toxicity.
