Letrozole

Treatment of early breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptorpositive early breast cancer.

Treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women whose disease has progressed following tamoxifen therapy.

Femara 2.5mg Tab (Letrozole) is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by reducing the amount of estrogen produced in the body. Estrogen fuels the growth of many breast cancers, so by lowering estrogen levels, letrozole can help to slow or stop the growth of these cancers.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage and duration of treatment will be determined by your doctor.

Typically administered as an oral tablet, once daily.

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It can harm the developing fetus or infant. Effective contraception is essential.



Children

Not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Caution is advised for patients with severe kidney impairment; dose adjustment may be necessary.



Liver

Caution is advised for patients with severe liver impairment; dose adjustment may be necessary.
