Treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, the most dangerous malaria parasite.
Effective for both adults and children weighing at least 5 kg.
Artemether and lumefantrine work synergistically to kill the malaria parasite. Artemether rapidly kills the parasite in the blood, while lumefantrine prevents the parasite from multiplying and spreading.
Store the medicine in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.
Dosage is determined by body weight and should be prescribed by a doctor.
The medicine is typically taken twice daily for three days.
The tablets are swallowed whole with water, preferably with a meal.
It is important to complete the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve, to prevent the parasite from developing resistance.
