Store levothyroxine at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in its original container. Do not crush, break, or chew levothyroxine tablets.

Dosage is individualized based on the severity of your condition and your response to treatment.

Levothyroxine is usually taken once daily, on an empty stomach, at least 30-60 minutes before breakfast.

Do not switch brands of levothyroxine without consulting your doctor.

Take levothyroxine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it without talking to your doctor.

Children

Kidney

Levothyroxine is not known to be significantly affected by kidney function.
