Etodolac

Etodolac is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Etodolac is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation caused by various conditions, including:

Osteoarthritis (wear and tear arthritis)

Rheumatoid arthritis (autoimmune arthritis)

Ankylosing spondylitis (inflammation of the spine)

Acute pain (sudden onset pain), such as after surgery or injury

Menstrual cramps

Etoflex Er Tab (Etodolac) works by blocking the production of certain natural substances that cause pain and inflammation in the body.

Store etodolac at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of etodolac will vary depending on your condition, age, and overall health.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Etodolac is typically taken by mouth with or without food.

Take the medicine at the same time each day to help you remember.

Common side effects of etodolac may include:

Less common but serious side effects can occur. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience:

Stomach upset

Nausea

Diarrhea

Constipation

Headache

Dizziness

Severe stomach pain

Blood in your stool or vomit

Unusual bruising or bleeding

Difficulty breathing

Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking etodolac, as it can increase the risk of stomach bleeding.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Etodolac may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Etodolac may not be safe for you or your baby.



Children

Etodolac is not recommended for children unless directed by a doctor.



Kidney

Etodolac can harm your kidneys. Tell your doctor if you have any kidney problems.



Liver

Etodolac can harm your liver. Tell your doctor if you have any liver problems.
