Eszopiclone

Eszopiclone is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic medication prescribed for the short-term treatment of insomnia, characterized by difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.

Esentra 1mg Tab (Eszopiclone) binds to specific receptors in the brain, called GABA receptors, which are involved in promoting sleep. By activating these receptors, eszopiclone enhances the effects of GABA, a neurotransmitter that helps induce sleep and reduce anxiety.

Store eszopiclone tablets at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep it in a tightly sealed container to protect it from light and moisture. Do not store it in the bathroom or in a humid environment.

The dosage of eszopiclone will vary depending on your individual needs and response to the medication. It is typically taken once a day, usually at bedtime. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

Do not take more or less eszopiclone than your doctor prescribes. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

More serious side effects are rare but may include: allergic reactions, confusion, memory problems, hallucinations, and paradoxical reactions (increased anxiety, agitation, or aggression).

Common side effects of eszopiclone include: drowsiness, dizziness, headache, fatigue, dry mouth, nausea, and impaired coordination.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking eszopiclone. Alcohol can increase the risk of drowsiness and dizziness.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how eszopiclone affects you. Eszopiclone can impair your ability to perform these activities.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is not recommended to take eszopiclone if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking eszopiclone if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Eszopiclone is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, you may need a lower dose of eszopiclone. Consult your doctor.



Liver

If you have liver problems, you may need a lower dose of eszopiclone. Consult your doctor.
