Cilnidipine

A calcium channel blocker that helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Telmisartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that also helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.

Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure)

May be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications

Cilnidipine blocks the entry of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells, causing vasodilation and reducing peripheral resistance. Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. The combination provides a synergistic effect, enhancing blood pressure control.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on individual needs and response.

Typically taken once daily, usually in the morning, with or without food.

Do not abruptly stop taking the medication; gradually reduce the dose under medical supervision.

Headache

Dizziness

Fatigue

Nausea

Flushing

Edema (swelling)

Hypotension (low blood pressure)

Rare but serious: angioedema (swelling of face, lips, tongue, throat).

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of low blood pressure and dizziness. Limit alcohol intake while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or are planning to become pregnant while taking this medication.



Children

Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with impaired kidney function. Dose adjustment may be necessary.



Liver

Caution is advised in patients with impaired liver function. Dose adjustment may be necessary.
