Phenytoin

Treatment of seizures, including generalized tonicclonic seizures (grand mal), partial seizures, and status epilepticus.

Prevention of seizures after neurosurgery or head injury.

Eptoin 300mg Er Tab (Phenytoin) works by blocking the spread of nerve impulses in the brain that trigger seizures. It does this by enhancing the activity of GABA, a neurotransmitter that has an inhibitory effect on nerve activity, and by reducing the excitability of neurons.

Children
