Levodopa

A precursor to dopamine, a neurotransmitter crucial for movement control.

Carbidopa

Prevents levodopa from being broken down prematurely in the bloodstream, increasing its effectiveness in the brain.

Entacapone

An inhibitor of catechol-o-methyltransferase (comt), an enzyme that breaks down levodopa and dopamine. this prolongs the effects of levodopa.

Treatment of Parkinson's disease, particularly to manage motor fluctuations (wearingoff effect) and dyskinesia (involuntary movements).

Levodopa is converted to dopamine in the brain, relieving symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Carbidopa enhances levodopa's effectiveness by preventing its peripheral breakdown. Entacapone further prolongs the effects of levodopa by inhibiting COMT, resulting in more consistent dopamine levels in the brain.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication as per your pharmacist's instructions.

Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment. It's usually started at a low dose and gradually increased.

Take the medication exactly as prescribed, with or without food, as directed by your doctor.
